Having concluded our 12-month charitable fundraising campaign, #AyjayChallenge25, in September, Ayjay’s Leadership Team wanted to share their thoughts and feelings with you.
“The conclusion of the fundraising challenge has been both welcomed and bittersweet. The campaign’s success has been embraced whole-heartedly by everyone within and around the business, but know the foundations of #AyjayChallenge25 are firmly built upon Jason and the incredible legacy he worked tirelessly to build.
“Not only did we see an increased engagement from our own staff, but to see friends, families, and businesses close to the Ayjay family come forward and support us in their own way has been humbling. Staff from across the business have gone out of their way to support the campaign, and we want to acknowledge everyone personally who played their part in making #AyjayChallenge25 a success.
“Andy, Craig and I have looked to immerse ourselves in the fundraising activities, and made some incredible memories along the way. For me personally, jumping 12,000ft out of plane is a moment that will remain with me for a long time. The charities chosen were close to us and to Jason, and we hope that the funds we have raised over the past 12 months go some way into supporting them and their work.” Simon Beament, Operations Director
As a business, we would like to thank everyone who has donated, supported and helped raise awareness of #AyjayChallenge25. We launched the fundraising campaign shortly after celebrating Ayjay’s 25th Anniversary, with the mindset of raising essential funds for three amazing charities. The charities we chose meant a lot to us as a business, and we can’t wait to pass on the funds so they can start making a big difference to the both the families and communities they support. The initial £7,500 target was surpassed with ease, and we ultimately raised more than £21,000, which we split between our three chosen charities, which were: RNLI, The Prince’s Trust, and St David’s Hospice Care.
